Vishwajyoti: My Yupo Adventure

More recently, I have been trying to experiment with Yupo. It is quite a challenging task. However, after much trial and error, I was somewhat able to  understand its behavior. Here is a painting I did on Yupo for a show titled 'A Re-look at the Girl Child'.

And here are four organic abstracts also done with watercolor on Yupo:

    1. Thanks for the appreciation.Yupo is an entirely synthetic paper (some call it plastic) mostly used by the printing industry. Many artists in the USA are using it as an art surface and have come up with some beautiful works. George James for instance. Since the paper is synthetic, it does not absorb the paint. This can be a disadvantage or an advantage!
